"Presented to Shoreham Airport By Officer Commanding 49 (EOD) Squadron Royal Engineers on completion of the clearance of the Airport on 24 February 1982" "This W/W II German 250Kg bomb was found during a routine clearance task and was rendered safe by the BDO and Crash Crew of 49 (EOD) Squadron RE. on 11 February" This was the period when Shoreham was having it's first concrete runway installed and is displayed within the Airport Terminal Building.
