Helena Theodora Kuipers-Rietberg, better known as Aunt Riek, was one of the most important resistance fighters in the Netherlands during World War II. In August 1944, she was arrested by the German occupiers and ended up in the Ravensbrück concentration camp via Camp Vught. She died there at the age of 51. Her motto was 'You do not live only for yourself, but also for your neighbor.'
