Liberation Memorial Woensdrecht

On October 24, 2024, this liberation memorial was unveiled. The most important part of the memorial is a Bren Carrier that was used in the battle of Woensdrecht. Driven by the Canadian Eric Richter, it went on the attack against the occupier together with the 1st battalion of the Black Watch of Canada on October 13. According to witnesses, the Bren Carrier was disabled by an anti-tank grenade.
