Memorial Henning von Tresckow

This memorial commemorates Herrmann Karl Robert (Henning) von Tresckow. Born Jan. 10, 1901, and died July 21, 1944, in Ostrow. He was a German soldier and resistance fighter during World War II. He received an Iron Cross 1914 1st class after the Second Battle of the Marne during World War I. He was involved in several actions to depose Hitler. After Von Stauffenberg's bombing in 1944, he committed suicide at the Ostrow front.
