This monument commemorates Rotterdam police officers killed during World War II. Photo 3 shows the monument still with two side panels in the old station at Haagseveer. These have not been reinstalled in the new station. On the bronze plaque the names of the officers who died are shown scenes from the war. Above the plaque is the text: ‘They are not truly dead, who live in our hearts’.
