Adolf Hitler and Mussolini had several meetings here, namely in April 1942, April 1943, between 26-28 February 1944 and 22 April 1944. In the aftermath of D-Day, the Nazi leaders met here with the new Hungarian Prime Minister, Albert Speer and Adolf Hitler met here in March 1944. Speer was here to recover from his illness. The palace is now used as a casino.
