Roma Ostiense Station

This train station was built by order of Mussolini especially for Adolf Hitler. A new road called "Via A. Hitler" connected to Porta San Paolo. Hitler arrived here by train in May 1938. The final construction was completed in 1940, after which the station was ceremonially opened on 28 October 1940. The fascist building elements can still be seen today.
