Gas Chamber Concentration Camp Natzweiler-Struthof

Despite not being an actual extermination camp, KL Natzweiler-Struthof did have a gas chamber. This was mainly intended as a gas chamber for killing prisoners for medical experiments by Professor August Hirt. This was attached to the SS scientific office, Ahnenerbe. With certainty, 86 Jewish men and women were murdered in this gas chamber by Camp Commander Josef Kramer on 11, 13, 17 and 19 August 1943. The gas chamber, which looks like a small building fitting into its surroundings, is located a little way outside the camp.
