Markgrafenstraße 38, 10117, Berlin-Mitte
Berlin, Germany

In the Leibniz Hall of the Brandenburg Academy of Sciences, bullet holes and damage from World War II can still be seen in the columns and colonnades. The building was damaged by bombing in 1945, and machine-gun fire during the capture of Berlin in April that year caused further damage.
