Lidice Memorial Museum

Tokajická 152, 273 54, Lidice
Středočeský, Czech Republic

This museum is dedicated to the retaliation on June 10, 1942. The village of Lidice was wiped off the map in retaliation for the murder of SS Obergruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich in Prague. The retaliation was directed at this village because it was rumored that the attackers were hiding here. The site where the village once stood is now a memorial park, a rolling lawn interspersed with sculptures. A paved path runs from the memorial via the rose garden to the current, rebuilt village.
