The cemetery in Malonne contains the grave of DELPLACE Adhémar, Lieutenant of the Secret Army and member of the SOE (Special Operations Executive). DELPLACE Adhémar was trained in industrial sabotage in Great Britain and then dropped in Belgium. He was arrested by the Germans on 25 June 1944 and sentenced to death. On 3 September 1944, he was executed in the Citadel of Liège.
