Reconciliation Chapel Flossenbürg Concentration Camp
Flossenbürg
Bayern, Germany

This chapel was built between 1946 and 1948 on the site of the former concentration camp Flossenbürg. Stones from a demolished watchtower were used for its construction. The chapel includes a bust of the German theologian and resistance fighter Dietrich Bonhoeffer, murdered on 9 April 1945 in Flossenbürg concentration camp. The stained-glass windows are dedicated to prisoners of Belgian, Lithuanian, Polish, Ukrainian, German and French nationality.
