This is the former home of 'Aunt Riek'. In front of the house was for a long a [towid]14414,monument[/towid], this was later moved to another location. The resistance woman Helena Theodora Kuipers-Rietberg (Aunt Riek). She was the founder of the National Organization to assist in Hiding (the L.O.) which have helped around 300,000 people in hiding. For this heroic act she payed with her life. She deceased in concentration camp Ravensbrück in Germany.
