Last Residence Mussolini Codogna-Cardano
Via Golf, 3, 22010, Codogna-Cardano
Lombardy, Italy

Last Residence Mussolini Mussolini is said to have spent his last night in this building before being executed. This building was the Miravalle hotel in Grandola during the Second World War. During his escape attempt, Mussolini stopped here to evaluate the possibility of crossing the border into Switzerland. His mistress Clara Petacchi joined him here to flee with Mussolini. After receiving the news that the partisans were controlling the border, he made the choice to travel to Dongo, where he was eventually captured. The former hotel is currently privately owned and occupied. It can only be viewed from the outside.
