Memorial plate Johannes Kolf ,Westmaas Resistance fighter Johannes Kolf had gone into hiding at this location. Within the Knokploeg Friesland he had been involved in the raid on the Leeuwarden Penal Prison in which prisoners were able to be liberated. On January 29, 1945, Kolf is killed when a firefight breaks out with an SD officer during a house search. Kolf is buried in Westmaas (row C, grave 48).
