Information Sign Mill Onze Rika

On November 23rd, 1944, in the morning, in Bennekom an explosion took place. The mill "Onze Rika" and the warehouse nearby were totally destroyed. In the explosion at least 73 German military were killed. Nearby also a number of residential properties and other buildings, among which was the house of miller Karel de Bruin and his wife Rika. This plaque gives information about the former mill and the explosion.
