At the cemetery of Bourseigne-Vieille is the Belgian war grave of Louis Marchal. Louis MARCHAL was a soldier in the 2nd Motorized Company Staff Services of the Brigade Piron. On September 25, 1944, the Piron brigade was in the Netherlands for the liberation of Thorn. He was badly wounded by artillery fire at the field kitchen and died on September 29.
