Alongside a path between the Veenendaalsestraatweg and the former MOB Complex, at about 150 metres from the Veenendaalsestraatweg this monument is located of the in the field behind the monument crashed Avro Lancaster W4191, EM-Q. On December 21st, 1942 this aircraft from No. 207 Squadron was on route back from an attack on Munich when it was shot down by Oberleutnant [bioid]23931,Reinhold Knacke[/bioid], 1./NJG 1 Bf 110 F-4 from Venlo. In the crash all seven crew members were killed.
