German Historical Museum (Zeughaus Berlin)

This museum is established in the Old Arsenal (Zeughaus) of Berlin and contains exhibitions about the history of Germany from the early centuries BC. till the present day. It contains a large collection of militaria. [b]History of the Zeughaus:[/b] The building was constructed from 1695 to 1730 and served from 1939 till 1944 as an important national socialist propaganda instrument. Parades and commemorations in the open courtyard were part of the national socialist war propaganda until 1944. In 1944/45 the building was severely damaged by bombs and grenades
