Former Headquarters Volga Military Flotilla

This theater building was the headquarters of the Volga Military Flotilla during the Second World War. It saw heavy fighting during the Battle of Stalingrad (1942-1943). The theater was also used as meeting place of revolutionaries in 1918. The city's Komsomol organisation was established here.
