The Dossin Barracks was a deportation center for Jews from 1942 to 1944. On the facade is a memorial for this. "Belgians don't forget that from these barracks 24,161 Israelites were taken to the German camps 1942-1944" The six bars from the authentic railway line symbolize the 6 million Jewish victims of all ages. Opposite is a freight wagon with which 25,628 Jews, Roma and Sinti were taken to the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp in 28 transports.
