In the wedding hall of the town hall in Nijkerk is a stained-glass window placed to remember the assault of the resistance between Putten and Nijkerk. This assault led to a reprisal measurement in which hundreds of men were deported. Of those, a few returned. In the window, the date of the assault is written, October 1th 1944. In the inner hall of the Town Hall in Nijkerk this frame is placed on the wall, in this frame is a charter and the names of the victims of Nijkerk. A copy of this list is added into the [url="https://www.tracesofwar.com/sights/12887/Monument-1940---1945.htm"]monument 1940 - 1945.[/url] Thanks to mister Dion van Hooren, the municipality of Nijkerk.
