La Courtine Army Base

44 Rue du Gén Craplet, La Courtine
Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France

This French army base was established in 1904. It was the site of the Russian mutiny in 1917, when 8000 soldiers installed a veritable Soviet republic in the camp. The base was used as Polish demobilisation camp after the Second World War.
