This memorial commemorates the liberation of Moerdijk by the Polish army. The board of the Heemkunde Moerdijk Foundation has received the clock and clapper on loan from the Diocese of Breda. The clock and clapper were found in the cellars of the Roman Catholic church in Moerdijk. The money for the bell chair came together at the liberation party 1944-1984 in Moerdijk. The symbol of Polish cavalry is placed on the hood of the monument as a thank you for the liberation.
