P-40E Warhawk A29-38 (RAAF) force landed at Kwong Point on 11 April 1942. Its pilot was captured and subsequently executed on 26 May 1942. The wreckage was salvaged in the late 80's, but the raft with wreckage parts sunk in the Huon Gulf.
