Bruce Castle Museum

In the Bruce Castle Museum is a memorial with the following text: [i]In Memoriam Peter Gerald Goodman Harold David Poluten Boys of this school who were mortally wounded by a German rocket while standing near this spot during the lunch hour on Thursday March 15th 1945[/i] Firstly, the plaque was located in the Tottenham Grammar School. Next to the memorial lies the nose of a German 250km bomb dropped on Wood Green in 1940. The bomb failed to explode on impact and was dealt with by a bomb disposal unit using a controlled explosion.
