Festung Krakau - Fort 50 "Prokocim"

Fort 50 "Prokocim" was constructed between 1882 and 1886 as part of the Austrian-Hungarian Festung Krakau. It played an important role during the Battle of Krakow in 1914. It was also was turned into an UPA-held (Ukranian SS) stronghold during the defence of Kraków against the Red Army in January 1945. [b]The fort today:[/b] It is currently abandoned.
