Messerschmitt Bf 110-F4 4683 'G9+DK' was shot down on February 3rd, 1943 in combat with Short Stirling Mk I R9197 BU-V from No. 214 (Federated Malay States) Squadron, and crashed 3 kilometres east of Achterveld. Pilot Hauptmann [bioid]23931,Reinhold Knacke[/bioid] was killed, but his gunner/navigator Feldwebel [bioid]22348,Kurt Bundrock[/bioid] managed to rescue himself with his parachute. The Short Stirling also crashed, killing all crew members.
