This memorial commemorates the USS California (BB-44), moored here on Battleship Row when the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor took place, on 7 December 1941. The ship was sank, 98 crewmembers were killed and 61 were woounded. Later on, the ship was lifted and repaired.
