Ship Wreck "ORP Gryf"
Hel
Pomeranian, Poland
This Polish mine layer was sunk by German Stuka dive bombers on 3 September 1939. The Polish navy quickly dismantled her weaponry and added it to the coastal defense of Hel. The wreck was used as target practice by both the German Army and later the Polish Army. It was finally salavaged and now only some parts remains to be seen.
