On the right side of [url=http://tracesofwar.com/sights/2321]Liberty Highway - Kilometer 0[/url] stands in the garden of the Hotel de Ville of Sainte-Mère-Eglise a memorial to the Generals Ridgway and Gavin. In the Hotel de Ville is the first American flag, which was rased on liberated French territory.
